A recognised leader in the tugboat business for 30 years and Turkey’s longest established in the private sector, Sanmar not only operates tugs and pilotage services but builds the vessels. As well as running a fleet the company has built and delivered far beyond Turkey’s shores – to four continents.
Not only does Sanmar truly represent the modern face of maritime Turkey, but its experience across a broad front of the industry – harbour operations, salvage, fire-fighting and pilotage – is brought to bear on new vessel design.
By the year 2006, Sanmar has constructed total of 46 tugboats,
25 of them are exported to all around the world. 13 of the tugboats constructed are sold to domestic companies. The company currently has 10 tugboats in its fleet, with an average age below two years. At the end of the 2007 total tugboat construction of the company will be 56.
