A recognised leader in the tugboat business for 32 years and Turkey’s longest established in the private sector, Sanmar not only operates tugs and pilotage services but builds the vessels. As well as running a fleet of fifteen, with an average age below two years, the company has built and  delivered far beyond Turkey’s shores – to four continents.

Not only does Sanmar truly represent the modern face of maritime Turkey, but its experience across a broad front of the industry – harbour operations, salvage, fire-fighting and pilotage – is brought to bear on new vessel design.

By mid 2009, Sanmar has constructed total of 80 tugboats and workboats, 36 of them are exported to all around the world. 20 of the tugboats constructed are sold to domestic companies. The company currently has 12 tugboats in its fleet.
