The Rascal 2000TS Class of compact twin screw harbour tugs have been developed exclusively by Robert Allan Ltd to address the challenges of modern, harbour towing, ship assisting and fire fighting tugs. The hull form has been carefully developed, based on a wide array of previous successful tug designs, to ensure good sea-keeping, manoeuvrability, and stability in all operations. Measuring 20.4m x 8m5m x 3.8m with a navigational draft of 3.15m, the tug’s two CAT C32 main engines are EPA Tier III / IMO Tier II compliant. Its FiFi system has a 1200m3/h @ 14 bar capacity, and safety measures include a NOVEC 1230 gas smothering system in the engine room.
