Sanmar started the new year by delivering 8 tugboats in the last month. The deliveries of the next-generation, eco-friendly tugboats were made to their owners in Italy, the Dominican Republic, Australia, and Turkey.
The first four deliveries consisted of the Bullen class tugboats, designed exclusively for Sanmar by Robert Allan Ltd, based on the RAmparts 2400SX design:
The eco-friendly tugboat LILLIAN MAC became the first RAmparts 2400SX MK II tugboat delivered to Australia, while CITTA DI AUGUSTA and CITTA DI SIRACUSA will operate in Italy. The RAmparts 2400SX class tugboat SVITZER ISABELA was delivered to Svitzer to operate in the Dominican Republic.
Three of the tugboats delivered in December 2022 were from the Yenicay class, designed for modern, high-performance maneuvering of smaller vessels, based on the RAscal 1800 design by the same designer:
The tugboats named WALBURR and MUYAAR were delivered to Cape York Peninsula in Australia. The third RAscal 1800 series tugboat, named ADAKALE by its new owners, was delivered to Turkish operator Marin Römorkör.
The most recent tugboat delivered was the Bozcay class tugboat based on Robert Allan Ltd's exclusive RApport 1900SX design, which was sold to Turkish operator Yalpaş and renamed YALOVA 5.
Ali Gürün, Chairman of Sanmar Denizcilik, said, "The final quarter of 2022 was quite busy for us. Delivering 8 tugboats in one month is a significant achievement, and I thank everyone involved. Last year was a good year for Sanmar. In 2022, we delivered 30 tugboats and 10 mooring and pilot boats to our customers worldwide. In 2023, we will continue to produce environmentally friendly tugboats alongside advancing technology
